See further down the page for past testimonials. | | | | | | From beginning to end, the team at Michael Heppell LTD have been a absolute pleasure to work with. The energy that Michael and Christine brought to the event, still has people being positive 5 months later. The feedback that I received from the multi-cultural team was that the content was easy to consume, yet powerful enough to motivate for change. It was an absolute pleasure having Michael and Christine be part of the annual kick-off. Mohammed Seedat Business Manager, MVP Award Programme Europe - Middle East - Africa - Asia Pacific - Greater China | | | | | | | | At a time when we were embracing significant change into our business – both procedural and behavioural – Michael and his team provided us with significant assistance. They supported us with a programme of new initiatives and events to drive in behavioural change. His approach was unique, and created a real passion for change. And as a conference speaker, he is the only one we’ve used who is still referred to three years later. I do believe we are a better business as a result of Michael and his team. Jim Paterson Sales & Marketing Director Scottish Power Energy Retail | | | | | | | | Inspiration and motivational. Energetic delivery – which literally has the audience on the edge of their seats. Michael does more than just the speech. He gave 100% support beforehand, ensuring his presentation was tailored to our needs, our big messages and our culture. This is the second major conference at which Michael agreed to speak – different businesses – but equally as successful. Excellent feedback received from delegates. 700 participants – thoroughly energised by the content and messages which are now ‘living’ in the organisation. Simon Marinker Stores Director & MD Travel Retail WHSmith plc | | | | | | Many thanks for your brilliant presentation at our 'Sprint for the Line' event on Monday 15th September.
We have received extremely positive feedback and I know that many of our Partners have been inspired by your thoughts and ideas.
Thank you. Your contribution was invaluable to the overall success of the day.
Adrian Batchelor Area Director
Michael ran a superb session for us at a recent Partner event. His upbeat and motivational style was very well received. He had all 220 guests up on their feet and having fun! His brilliance lies with the balance between the fantastic content coupled with his delivery style. We would recommend him to any organisation.
Many thanks Michael you were truly superb!
Steven Sprague Senior Business Development Manager | | | | | | | | | I am a TV presenter and the Creative Director of my own production company. My TV show was axed in January and I just wasn’t getting any commissions. I walked into a book shop just looking for something to give me motivation, guidance that would get me out of not only the crap situation but the crap thinking I was indulging in, I just couldn’t break the cycle. Then I saw the pretty blue cover of Brilliant Life and everything changed! I started reading it and applied some of the ideas immediately. Then I did the one day course. Within 3 months I landed my own Terrestrial TV show in the genre I never thought I would be taken seriously in and I landed three commissions that have changed the face of our company. Brilliant Life put a face to ideas I’d heard of but had no access to. It proved to me that perspective is everything and that you can control your life. It changed my life. Brendan Courtney Giant Film | | | | | | | Nicola and I wanted to provide feedback on the Super Speaker course that we attended on 3rd June. The material, content and pace were excellent as was the venue. It was lovely to speak with Michael and Christine; they were both so easy to talk to and we were made to feel very welcome. We were lucky to also attend the workshop with a really great group of people and so the day could not have been better.
Anne Hanrahan Senior Operations Manager
Nicola Christian Operations Manager | | | | | | | | | Thank you for the outstanding 'How to Be Brilliant' and 'Brilliance in Business' course in London in March.
I thoroughly enjoyed the event and the dynamic atmosphere you created. I certainly learned a great deal and have already implemented many of the business ideas and models. I particularly enjoyed the fantastic presentation and energy!
The course was interactive, thought provoking and fun. It was also brilliant at bringing the books to life and a great opportunity to think, reflect and plan.
Thanks again for a brilliant couple of days - I would heartily recommend the course to any individual or organisation.
Stuart Lowry Training Development Director | | | | | | | | | Thank you so much for teaching us all 'How to Be Brilliant' at our Annual Conference, held at the Belfry, earlier this week.
I am sure you could tell from the reaction of the audience that they all thoroughly enjoyed it and left feeling highly motivated. It was the ideal way to end the conference.
Thank you for your help in making our conference such a great success.
Sheila Cooper Managing Director | | | | | | | | Thank you for a Brilliant Day! I thought the course was excellent, and worthwhile for anybody wanting some help and guidance on how to push themselves further in life and work.
I now look forward to the future which I have decided to pursue and attain.
Tom Wainwright Pathway and Research Manager, Orthopaedics The Royal Bournemouth Hospital
| This is the second time that I have been to see you and can honestly say that you have helped me develop both personally and in my career to achieve and better the goals that I have set myself.
I would strongly recommend both courses to present and future business leaders.
Alan Astin (Dip RP) General Manager | | | | | | | | | Michael achieved the impossible. He converted me from a cynical b*****d to woodbreaking vandal all in one day!
I would recommend the course to anyone and everyone. Both enjoyable and extremely liberating. "Brilliant!"
Stephen Sacks | | | | | | | On behalf of everyone at YHN I would like to thank you for the brilliant staff motivational events you facilitated during February. We've had lots of really positive feedback from people right across the organisation telling us how much they enjoyed the events. The opportunity to get together outside of work in a different environment and learn in a different way was a breath of fresh air for a lot of people. You managed to reach out and motivate the hardest to reach groups of staff and we've really been able to see the benefits back at the workplace. People were talking about the event days later. People really got on board with the theme of Brilliance and Great Customer Service and have come up with lots of great examples of making a real difference to both internal and external customers. John P Lee Chief Executive - Your Homes Newcastle
Having heard Michael Heppell speak at a London Business Forum event early last year, I felt it would be a perfect fit as we take our collection of luxury 5-star boutique hotels from fantastic to brilliant, and arranged for him to deliver a keynote speech to 70 key executives within the company.
Michael's communication and preparation leading up to the event was very impressive, the 90-minute keynote was absolutely brilliant and left the whole team buzzing with excitement and energy. Michael and Christine are a superb team who more than deliver on their promises.
In my opinion there is no better motivational speaker.
Jonathan Raggett Managing Director | | | | | | | Many thanks for your input into our staff development day last Friday. It certainly made an impact. I have already received some very positive feedback from staff on the sessions you ran. One member of staff said that Friday was the first time in the 7 years he was worked at the College that he saw so many people smiling. This is exactly what I wanted. Being able to start the year on a positive note is a real bonus and I think we were very lucky or shrewd (?), to have been able to secure your contribution on what was the first day back for many staff. Another member of staff said they really felt "invested in".
The How to Be Brilliant session, which I took part in, will really play a major contribution in our journey of cultural change which will take us to Brilliance.
Matt Atkinson Principal | | | | Thank you for making the event at Burslem Campus last week so "brilliant"! I am sure that everyone enjoyed their session with you and, hopefully, will be able to progress further as a result.
Caroline Highland Director - Student and External Relations Faculty | | | | | | | I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your valued participation and effort at the Personal Finance Society's Annual Conference last week. This was once again an overwhelming success and we couldn't have done it without you.
Tim Eadon Chief Executive | | | | | | | Just a very quick note to thank you on behalf of the YHN Chair and Management Team for your excellent contribution and time at our first Senior Manager's Conference on 31st October 2007. I have certainly noticed a bit of a buzz about the place. I think there are certainly more managers now believing that our aspirations to achieve three stars and excellent services are possible and with your help, within reach.

"In the space of one day people really opened up but in a way that wasn't threatening, in a way that used a lot of humour and in a way that was quite safe, but actually took people through some interesting emotional barriers. I think that that experience gave my team the added edge, the confidence and the belief that they need to drive the culture change through Scottish Water, to drive through that belief in putting the customer first."
